Clichy is a commune in the Hauts de Seine department, in the Île de France region. It belongs to the first ring of north-western Paris, with which it borders via the XVIIth arrondissement. The town is also known as Clichy la Garenne or Clichy sur Seine, so as not to confuse it with Clichy sous Bois, which is in the same region, but in the Seine Saint Denis département. Clichy covers an area of 3.08 km². In 2019, its population was 63,089, equivalent to a population density of 20,483 inhabitants per square kilometer. The commune is highly urbanized. It has a total of 45 hectares of green space, less than 15% of its surface area.
Clichy has 811 condominiums, 597 of which have between 11 and 49 lots. Of these, 428 (53%) were built before 1949. Since then, construction has stagnated, with a significant dip between 1994 and 2011.
Clichy and neighboring Saint Ouen sur Seine (Seine Saint Denis department) have embarked on the creation of a 750-meter-long avenue de la Liberté, between the Général Roguet traffic circle in Clichy and boulevard Victor-Hugo in Saint-Ouen-sur-Seine. The aim is to limit the increase in road traffic on the existing roadway by absorbing excess traffic, improve quality of life with high-quality landscaping and adapt the road service to development programs (arrival of new public transport services and creation of the Grand Paris Nord university hospital campus).
If you live in Clichy, your condominium charges range from €24 to €55 per m² per year. Charges vary according to a number of criteria, such as the number of lots, the presence of an elevator, the number of building employees (janitor, gardener, etc.) and the type of heating.
For example, condominiums with between 11 and 49 lots and an elevator have annual charges of around €1,938 (or €161 per month).
