Levallois Perret is located in the Hauts de Seine department, in the Île de France region. It borders the 17th arrondissement of Paris on its north-western edge. The town covers an area of 2.41 km² and has a population of 66,082. With a density of 27,420 inhabitants per square kilometer, it is the most densely populated commune in France. However, it boasts 6 parks and 19 squares, spread over 40 hectares.
Levallois Perret has 1,171 condominiums, the vast majority of which (890) have between 11 and 49 lots. Only 5 of these co-ownerships have more than 200 lots. 808 co-ownerships are managed by professional syndicates, while only 24 are managed by non-professional syndicates. A third of buildings date from before 1949. Since then, construction has been in steady decline.
The Place Jean-Zay renovation project is now underway. It has been designed with the help of local residents, who have been able to express their expectations in terms of layout, planting, traffic flow and entertainment. The renovation project has received a grant of €800,000 from the Contrat d'Aménagement Régional, and a further €830,000 from the Conseil Départemental des Hauts-de-Seine, under the Development Contract signed with the town.
