After a decline in construction after 1949, Livry Gargan experienced a resurgence, with a peak of 89 new condominiums between 1975 and 1993. The pace then slowed, but appears to have picked up again since 2011.
The future of Livry Gargan's Dautriche pavilion is at stake in an architects' competition. This urban showcase in the Parc de la Poudrerie was built in 1873 and needs to be rehabilitated very quickly. Although the possibility of building social housing on the site has been ruled out, it has been selected for the Inventons la Métropole call for projects launched by Greater Paris in 2022. In addition, the SEDIF (Syndicat des Eaux d'Île de France) has launched a vast program to restructure and reinforce its drinking water transport and distribution networks in several of its communes, including Livry Gargan.
Co-property charges in Livry Gargan average €33 per m2 per year, or around €1,693 per annum. Of course, these figures can vary from one condominium to another, depending on the number of lots, the size of the common areas, garden maintenance and other factors.
