Mantes la Jolie is a commune in the Yvelines department, in the Île de France region. It lies 57km west of Paris, on the left bank of the Seine. It covers an area of 9.38km². The municipal territory extends approximately 5.5km in length from east to west, and approximately 1.5km in width from north to south. The town's green space covers 280 hectares.
