Vitry sur Seine is a commune in the Val de Marne department, in the Île de France region. It is located on the left bank of the Seine, 4 kilometers south of Paris. The town covers an area of 11.67 km². With a population of 95,510 in 2019, its density is 8,184 inhabitants per square kilometer. Vitry sur Seine boasts 180 hectares of green spaces, divided between 80 hectares of municipal green spaces and 100 hectares for the Parc Départemental des Lilas, of which 7 hectares are landscaped.

A new office and commercial building is planned for Avenue Rouget de Lisle. It is part of the redevelopment of the RD5 main road. Launched some ten years ago, this 130,000 m² urban development will include 870 housing units (40% social housing and 60% home-ownership), shops and a 60,000 m² business park. The housing section will be closest to the city center. On the other side, at the entrance to the city from the A 86 freeway, Sogeprom has taken 20,000 m² and Vinci has won îlot D as part of the Inventons la Métropole 2 call for projects. Block F is earmarked for the construction of a 10,000 m² building. The building will be used for industrial and production activities, with shops on the first floor. There will also be a 90-space underground parking lot for light commercial vehicles. The roof will be laid out as a green terrace, accessible to employees.
Current condominium charges in Vitry sur Seine are around €34 per m2 per year, or an average of €1,810 per year.
